Illustrating full books taught me to slow down and think visually on a larger scale: how white space creates focus, how visual layout guides the reader, and how to pace months of artwork with intention rather than impulse. Teaching myself how to self-publish also opened a new door, inspiring my goal of finding an agent and pursuing traditional publishing. 

At the heart of it all, I want my stories to make people feel a little lighter - nourishing visuals for kids and the adults reading beside them. Creating these books confirmed that long-form illustration and storytelling are where I feel most creatively at home.
